Over the pandemic, needless to say, nobody was having much fun.
For Carnival, whose tagline is literally, “Choose Fun,” that was a pretty big issue.
So to invite cruisers to back to the sea with a new campaign, we made a simple tweak to this line.
And let people choose fun in a way they hadn’t been able to in years…
It was a wild production, all shot on ship during a 7-day cruise with 5,000+ vacationers.
We spent a lot of down time drinking martinis in the piano bar. I learned a lot about upside down pineapples.
In other words, we also chose fun… together.

Half Moon Cay’s Asenine Mascot: Ted
We were also briefed on a campaign to advertise Carnival’s private island, Half Moon Cay.
And told the island had a live-in donkey named Ted. The client didn’t think it was worth featuring him.
Obviously, we featured him.
