Like I said, I’m Ed
Born in Boston. Studied Latin in high school. Studied ancient Greek in college. Developed a love of language and became an etymology nerd (“hippo-potamus” means “river horse”). After working on a dig site in Corinth for a month, I realized the professor’s life was not for me. So I took a class in advertising and the rest is ancient history.
I started off interning at Grey. Then spent most of my time at R/GA and Anomaly NY. More recently, I’ve freelanced at Le Truc, Mother, and others. I love that there are infinite ways to answer a brief. And I love that advertising is, as cheesy as it sounds and as much as I cringe to write this into my bio… a “team sport 🫂.”
Aside from Creative Director, I’ve been a camp counselor, lifeguard, and babysitter. But my favorite job was being a golf caddie for 10 years. I’d occasionally use the "caddie wedge," i.e. my foot, to give balls a better lie. I’d find balls out of bounds and secretly throw them back in play. My golfers loved me.
